Bump in the road. I had been keeping an eye on my hose timer and I thought it was working but I noticed the plants and soil looked a little dry. I manually started it and realized it wasn't working correctly. I got it working but not until the damage was done. The bottom leaves are a bit brown around the edges. We had a busy Saturday and got home late to hear the water running. The timer had kicked on like normal but never shut off. UGH!!! They had been watered for about 10 hours. I let things dry out Sunday and checked the plants Sunday evening and put down a extra dose of fertilizer since I'm guessing the 10 hours washed a lot away. As I was checking the fruits I found one lobe of the old man tomato had blushed. Last time I measured it was Thursday the 4th it was at 18 1/4" so it might be 19" if I'm lucky. It feels much lighter than the big single on the Dan S. plant so I'm not getting my hopes up on this one.
