            | Vineman | Eugene,OR | If you're growing a 1458 seed how's the plant and how are the offspring? I'm considering growing one next year and would like to learn how others are doing with it.Thanks

            | JMattW | Omaha, NE (N41-15-42 ) | I think a deer ate mine. One day it was just gone. Completely vanished. Fence wasn't high enough. None of the other plants were touched though. | 9/9/2004 10:34:49 PM |

            | Mr. Sprout | Wichita, KS | that story... it gives me that hollow, powerless feeling. awful.

            | George J | Roselle, IL [email protected] | long and flat. Nice ribs. Both fruits grew over blossom-end. Has the 582 color. One fruit is around 500lbs | 9/10/2004 8:08:28 AM |

            | Bull Taco | Snoqualmie, Wash. | A grower in my area lost hers to a split. She said the gene line that caused the 582 Hester to split cont. on through the 1458. I have both seeds, and am not sure what to do with them, trade or grow. | 9/10/2004 9:57:03 AM |

            | Canuck | Atlanta, Georgia | My 1458 was demolished by frost this year and I have one more to try possibly.
 Burrhead,
What is your reason for trying it next year. Is there something you know that we don't?
 Just asking...

            | MNPG(Al) | Mn | I herd bruce grew a nice thousand pounder off the 1458. It was crossed with a 1097.5 Beachy. Definitly gona try to get a hold of one. Hopefully it won't split like the 1097 does. If any body want some off my seeds just send me a email. | 10/15/2004 8:04:36 PM |
